Two Sides of Managing Projects

There are two key aspects of successful project management. The first is having a proven process and the second is in understanding the “politics” to ensure success.  Many projects are not as successful as they could have been because they did not follow a proven project management process and failed to understand the “political” activity of gaining commitment.

This learning programme takes delegates through the project management process and then overlays it with “political” activities which, engenders commitment and makes the project management teams work popular.

Firstly, members of the project management team working through a proven process and begin to understand their roles and responsibilities.  Secondly, the members of the project team develop a sense of the “political” activities of gaining support and commitment to the project and accepting its outcomes.
